St. Johns County Tax Collector’s Office advised the District that as of late April 2022 a significant number of property owners within the District have not fully paid their Tax Year 2021 real estate tax bill. Delinquency in payment of real estate taxes will result in additional costs and may lead to issuance of a tax certificate, which will result in additional fees for the property owners, and the property will be subject to a tax deed application in the future if the taxes are not paid. This could result in the loss of the property if the taxes are not paid, even for small amounts.
As a courtesy to District property owners, the District is notifying you of this potential issue – it does not affect all property owners. Should you desire to check your tax bill payment status, you can go to the St. Johns County Tax Collector website (https://sjctax.us), scroll down to Featured Services and select Search Tax Records. A new page will open (http://stjohnstaxcollector.governmax.com/collectmax/collect30.asp) that will allow for searching of real estate records by Parcel Number, Owner Name, Physical Address or Mailing Address. Once the information is entered, a page will display whether a balance is outstanding and option at the bottom of the page will allow for payment of balance, if any, via credit card or electronic check.
If you have any questions about payments, you can call the St. Johns County Tax Collector’s Office at (904) 209-2250. If you have questions about the additional assessment, please call the Julington Creek Plantation Community Development District at (877) 276-0889
