Food Trucks

Exciting news! Food Trucks will be moving to the REC CENTER for the Summer starting Friday, June 4th through August 12th! Food Trucks will continue to take place on the 2nd and 4th Thursday as well as the 1st, 3rd and 5th Fridays of the month.

Residents are welcome to bring food inside the Rec Center and enjoy the amenities! Otherwise, food trucks will be located in the parking lot for Grab & Go. Creekside Cafe and Bar will be open.

Food trucks are rain or shine. Trucks will make final call based on conditions.

**Trucks are subject to change!** We will post trucks at the beginning of the week and then again on the day of as a "final" list. Even then they are subject to change due to weather, mechanical issues, etc. We will always try to give you notice as we know we have some dedicated food truck lovers!

          ii.    Have you been in close contact (within 6 ft for at least 5 minutes) with anyone with the above symptoms?

The District encourages all attendees to observe social distancing, avoid close contact with individuals outside of your own household, wash your hands frequently, wear a mask when social distancing is not possible, and comply with all recommendations issued by the CDC, the Florida Department of Health, and other public health officials.

Creekside Cafe will be open until management's discretion. No pool floats allowed, only pool noodles. The slide and Splash Park will close when the movie begins. 

Havana Nights

Havana ooh na-na! Summer is here and it’s time to party, Cuban – style! Come join us for a Havana Nights party at the Rec Center on Saturday June 19th! Entertainment by Mandalla Band, voted best local band in Jax! Professional dancers will perform as well as give lessons to the crowd. Catering by Mambo’s Café-choose between Chicken al Ajillo or their classic Lechon Asado, plus rice, black beans and sweet plantains for your authentic Cuban dinner. We’ll have a live cigar roller present with souvenir cigars for those 21+.

Please note NO SMOKING on property. Family Pool, slide and Splash Park will be open. Creekside Café Bar will be open for purchases including specialty cocktails. *The entire Rec Center will close at 4pm to all residents for event preparation.* 

Doors open at 6pm. This is a ticketed event and walk-ins will not be accepted.

"All things music" theme

Come join this friendly trivia competition for real prizes! There will be a nightly winner for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Your points have accumulated and the Grand Prize Winner will be announced on June 25th. Come prepared for “all things music” questions. Teams that dress up will receive extra points! Creekside Café will be open with specials!

Soccer Shots

Is your 2-9 year old interested in playing soccer this Summer?  We have a 8 week program right in your community.

 Soccer Shots is an introductory Soccer program based here in North Florida.  They introduce the game of soccer to children in an enthusiastic and engaging way.  Their themed sessions have players pretending their astronauts flying to Mars or pirates sailing the seven seas all while learning how to dribble, shoot and score!  They also emphasize character development with the use of their weekly character word.  Words like respect, confidence and determination are reinforced during their sessions to build stronger youth beyond the game! 

 The general information about our Soccer Shots program at Julington Creek Plantation is as follow:

Ends:  Saturday July 29th

How Long:   Thursday for 8 weeks

Times: 9-9:30am Mini class (2-3 year olds)

9:30-10am Mini class (2-3 year olds)

10-10:45am Classic class (4-5 year olds)

Social Clubs

Book Club

St. Johns County Public Library will be hosting a monthly book club at Julington Plantation Park (875 Davis Pond Blvd) on Fridays at 10am. Copies can be sent to the branch of your choice. Masks are encouraged as well as socially distancing.
